Surah Al-Baqarah, verse 255, is known as Ayat al-Kursi. It is one of the most famous verses of the Holy Quran. Hazrat Abu Zar Jundub ibn Janadah (RA) asked the Messenger of Allah (SAW), "O Messenger of Allah! Which verse has been revealed to you with the greatest honor?" Benefits of reciting Ayatul Kursi before sleeping

  • Narrated in Sahih Hadith. "When you go to bed, recite Ayatul Kursi. Then on you from Allah. A guardian (angel) will always be assigned. And Satan will not come near you until morning.” Sahih Bukhari: 2311.

Allah, the Most High, has mentioned the following eight attributes in "Ayat al-Kursi."

1st Attribute:
Allah is unique, eternal, and everlasting. He is One, with no partners or equals. He is permanent, controlling the heavens and the earth from His throne. He is everlasting; He exists as He is and will continue to exist, and Allah will never die.

2nd Attribute:
Allah does not experience sleep, nor does drowsiness ever touch Him.

3rd Attribute:
All beings in the heavens and the earth praise Allah.

4th Attribute:
Allah says, “Who is there that can intercede with Me without My permission?” The key to all intercession is in Allah's hands. No one can intercede without His will.

5th Attribute:
Allah knows everything. He is all-knowing. He is aware of everything that has happened or will happen in the entire cosmos and the earth.

6th Attribute:
Allah is the source of all knowledge. Allah has given us knowledge in proportion to what He has revealed. He does not grant more than that.

7th Attribute:
Allah has created the universe and the earth, and we reside within it. We are living within Allah's dominion, and we cannot escape this realm. We must accept this reality for our existence.

8th Attribute:
And in all these actions, Allah never becomes weary. He experiences no fatigue. If we obey all His commands, Allah will be pleased with us, and attaining Paradise will be easy for us.
